IMDB is reporting that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's new baby Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-pitt was delivered by a US doctor on Saturday. Angelina refused to let a foreign - more inexperienced - doctor perform the cesarean. Dr. Jason Rothbart was flown from LA to Namibia, and took charge of Jolie's labor at The Cottage Medi-Clinic Hospital.Dr. Rothbart tells People:"Angelina underwent a scheduled cesarean due to breech presentation. The baby was a healthy seven pounds. Brad was with Angelina in the operating room the entire time and cut the umbilical cord of his daughter. The surgery and birth went flawlessly. "
I don't think anyone should blame Angelina Jolie for this move. I don't think anyone would want to let a Nambia doctor deliver their first born, or any born for that matter. The dream of a Namibian med student is performing CPR on chickens and hoping to go to Med School in Mexico. Bottom line: The world laughs at anyone that goes to Med School down there. Getting a GED in the United States is more impressive than having a Medical degree from Mexico. Just think.. Would you rather have Dr. House or Dr. NambuChuckCluckrick deliver your baby.
